10 years and going strong!

Well we did it girls, 10 years and here we still are friends. Thanks for an awesome weekend! Sandy and Stacy we missed you, but I'm sure there are more sleepovers to come. It was fun to talk about old times, but Angie was right, it's time to start making new memories that are better than the ones we have. I love you all! Nat

So, our little wedding "shower" finally happened. It was a lot of fun. The weather outside was cold and rainy, so our BBQ happened inside. Natalie, Katie, and their families were missed, but we'll get together again!

Okay girls nobody has posted anything in a long time so here is my exciting news and pictures!! I almost left my hubby to run away with Captain Jack Sparrow!!! I know not really my type, but seriously, if I could live on the beach 24/7......that could work- RIGHT! No but seriously I recommend a Disney Cruise to anyone vacationing with kids!!! We had a blast, this was one of Jacob's
favorite moments. Captain Jack and the Flying Dutchman!!! Izzy's was Snow White. My favorite was the free Diet Coke and all you can eat pineapple---Oh ya and of course Jack!

Happy Birfday, Nat! We'll have to get together soon and give you a proper spanking machine (and that goes for Sandy and Stacy, too).

What a great night. We talked about Angie's endless dating, seriously the list goes on and on and on. Sandy heading to Vega again, Katie's endless run of bad luck(but she has an awesome kitchen because of it), and Stacy's up and coming BIG business (her message boards are awesome, we can't wait to see the website). We had a blast but we wished Amelia and Krissy could be there. Happy Birthday Sandy, thanks for giving us an excuse to get together. Viva Las Mexico!!

Ps...POOPY! Paul and I BOTH had the fortunate experience this month of a root canal AND crown, (it set us back a few grand) so no trips further than Las Vegas for us this year...unless we can get a sponsor! Hows about we shoot for an overnighter for now.

Mexico would be awesome right now (I'm so sick of the cold weather), but I'm afraid I probably wouldn't be able to go anywhere like that anytime soon. I teach during the week (T,W, and TH) and I'm busy most Saturdays. But, an overnight thing somewhere in northern Utah would work for me. Of course, you should all go if you can and bring me back a sombrero or a taco. I'm sorry I won't be there to translate.

Or, we could plan something big for mid to late summer. I'm only working through June. Of course, I have no money, so we'd have to find a sweet deal.

As some of you may know (I don't even know if anyone's reading this blog except for Nat and Katie occasionally) Peter got RSV a couple of weeks ago. He's doing much better now, but the doctor said that he will be mildly contagious for a few more weeks. So, that means that:

A) I'm going to leave him for the first time next weekend when Marshall and I fly to Chicago. I'm scared about that...

and

B)We're postponing his baby blessing. It will probably be sometime in March, but I'll keep you posted. I really am only expecting Amelia because she's here in Logan, but if any of you happen to be in town, you're welcome to come. It was fun to have some of you there when Eliza was blessed (Katie, Amelia and Sandy, right? Ang, Stac, and Nat, were you guys there, too?

Finally, on March 8th, we're having our Utah premiere of our film at a festival in Ogden, so if we're looking for an excuse to get together, this might be a good one. We could meet for lunch and then go to see the movie at 4:30 (it's a Saturday). Or, we could go to dinner afterwards. Let me know if that would work for any of you. Lets hit the Beach!!

So the recipe idea was a conversation killer. Sorry about that!! I have a small addiction problem when it comes to blogging. Amelia is with me on this one. I am hoping to put together a girls night SPRING BREAK party. Who's in and what weeekend in March or April is best for everyone? I need some ideas on where to go as well! What are the chances of MEXICO???? I so need a beach right now. Let me know!

My bad , my kids got on before I finished... So I was cooking Natalie's enchiladas when my oven exploded!!!!! SO I am not sure I will ever be able to make them again!!!!! But if it means anything they did smell good before the exploding!!!!

So funny story.......

You know how I was telling you about my run of bad luck. I happen to be cooking Natalie's very delicious enchiladas!!!!! Anyway thought you all would enjoy that story!!!

He's 8 weeks today. We've decided to bless him on February 24th, so if you're in town, feel free to come. It will be at my parents house at 4:30 pm.

So the next thing I think we need to post is one of our favorite, simple, quick, recipes. I know it sounds lame and house-wifey, but I LIKE to cook damnit, and I won't be shunned for it. So here's mine and I think a few of you have it already.


Chicken Enchiladas: by natalie watts

1 large 10oz can white meat chicken
1 can cream of celery
1/2 cup sour cream
half an onion chopped (optional)
1 can MILD enchilada sauce
2 cups shredded cheese (colby jack is my fav)
5-6 flour tortillas

saute' onion in a little butter or olive oil until tender. put in a mixing bowl and add chicken, 1 cup cheese, sour cream, cream of celery, and 1/4 the can of sauce and mix together. I like to mash the chicken chunks up, so it is smoother.

warm tortillas slightly in micro to soften and fill tortillas with mixture. Place in a GREASED baking dish and top with remaining cheese and enchilada sauce. cover with foil and Bake 350 for about 20 min or so until bubbly. Top with chopped fresh tomatos...YUMMY


-This really is a fast, cheap, and dang good meal!!!

It is about time!!!!!

How is everyone????? It has been a long time!!! We need to do a recap of everyone. I will try really hard to come up with 6 things....here goes:

1- I get to leave this cold snowy crap in 10 days and counting!!! (Kris I am with you I HATE WINTER)
2- I had bad luck this past year. My air conditioner went out in Aug, my stove exploded in November, Trav's car died in December, my heater died in January. Don't try to add it all up, it still hurts my head $$$$$$
3- I love having potty trained kids!!!!! I haven't changed a diaper in over 6 months!!!
4- I registered Izzy for Kindergarten the other day, and I think I was more excited than she was!
5- I have been sick since Christmas.



My kids however have been loving the snow!!! They built a snow fort and played in it for hours!!!.
6- Sandy finally got me to cut back on Diet Coke!

I'm finally a part of the super-cool blogger team. This is fun. Here are 6 things about me (Stacy, we noticed you dodged that, by the way):

1. Breastfeeding makes me GAIN weight. I weighed myself the other day, and I basically haven't lost any weight since the pregnancy.

2. My name is Kristen Olsen and I'm addicted to Avon Lotion (still).

3. Cold weather pisses me off. I've lived here practically all my life, yet every winter, I'm shocked with how freaking cold it gets here and how people still choose to live in such a horrible, cold, horrible place.

4. I'm actually a blonde (haha).

5. I'm in the process of buying a car that runs on vegetable oil.

6.. I love my life. Despite two sick kids, a way-too-busy, way-too-stressful schedule, and house we can't sell, I'm still really happy.

Now, how do you post a picture on this thing? Oh, here it is. These pictures are from the fall because I haven't updated my computer. Sorry. Peter's a cutie, so I'll work on that.

Hurray! It's back

Awsome, we are back up and running. I have been in a L7 slump. It was really fun to see Kris and baby Peter (with the british accent, of

course) Thanks Nat and Amelia for playing "tagged." I hope the rest of you do it also. It is so fun to learn random things about eachother. I guess we will have to shave Amelia's head next time we have a sleep over!

Thanks Amelia for starting the blog again. Loved the pics...I think that was the only time I actually got dressed and did my makeup while I was pregnant. I can't believe Tate was that little. Lets have a sleepover SOON!!

6 things about Natty

1-I could stay in the bathtub and read ALL day if I could.

2-I have passed 7 kidney stones (3 while prego)

3-I think I have extra sensitive skin, because I hate the feeling of clothes, getting my back tickled or just people rubbing my bare skin...ewwww.

4-Almost every morning Tate and I drive to McDonalds to get Diet Coke and a breakfast burrito (I wonder why I have kidney stones)

5-I absolutly LOVE zoos. I would go to the zoo in Omaha everyday if I could.

6-If there is something that I WANT I don't quit until I get it...I don't do it on purpose, it is almost as if I CANT live unless I get it. ie, buying my current home, getting prego, marrying Paul. It doesn't happen often but if I feel strongly about something I don't let it go.

Since I have nothing better to do (just kidding..I'm still trying to figure out this Mom thing) and I noticed we haven't posted since November, I thought I'd try to get this party started.

Six facts about me:

1. I have always wanted to shave my head, but have never had the courage to do it.
2. Chocolate truffles are my "crack". I have to stop myself or I seriously could eat a whole bag.
3. I LOVE walking down the cleanser isle at any store. I love the smells.
4. I liked being pregnant. I miss it. I liked going to the pool in my bikini and I loved the positive attention. I even liked random people stopping me and asking me about the baby.
5. Japanese potstickers (gyoza) is my favorite food.
6. My favorite thing to do while watching tv is to pick at Paul's beard stubble , zits, dry skin, etc. It makes him crazy, but he lets me do it.
